There are three main types of bonnets in the context of industrial equipment: bolted bonnet, pressure seal bonnet and welded bonnet. These are all designed to keep the internal components of the equipment sealed and safe, but they differ in their structure and mode of attachment. The bolted bonnet is secured in place with bolts that can be removed for maintenance; the pressure seal bonnet uses high pressure to generate a seal that is difficult to break; the welded bonnet is permanently attached to the equipment and cannot be removed without cutting or welding. Each of these bonnets has its own advantages and disadvantages, and the choice of which one to use ultimately depends on the specific needs of the equipment and the operating conditions it will be exposed to.
