Electric Trunnion Mounted Ball Valves

Introduction

The trunnion mounted ball valve that is electric actuated features both two-piece and three-piece valve body structures. These structures are joined together by bolts, while the seal consists of reinforced PTFE embedded within a stainless steel ring.

Features

The friction is reduced by dual bearings which support the ball, resulting in a labor-saving operation.

The stainless steel valve seat is embedded with a PTFE unisexual material sealing ring, and there is a spring at the end of the metal valve seat to guarantee adequate pre-tightening force for the sealing ring.

According to the standards AP16FA and API607, a fireproof sealing ring is placed between the ball and valve seat. This arrangement creates a metal-to-metal seal, which proves crucial in case of fire. It ensures maximum safety and compliance with fireproof requirements.

In instances where the pressure within the valve cavity becomes unusually high, surpassing the pre-set spring load, the ball within the valve seat recedes to facilitate automatic pressure relief. This is done to prevent any mishap that may arise due to excessive pressure.

The valve body is equipped with drain holes that enable a thorough inspection of the valve seat for any potential leaks. These drain holes are strategically placed up and down the body to ensure a comprehensive examination. It is a vital aspect of valve maintenance and helps to ensure that the valve is in good working condition. With these drain holes, any issues with the valve seat can be identified and addressed promptly. This ensures the safe and efficient operation of the valve for an extended period.

Non-intrusive infrared commissioning, datalogging, and predictive maintenance capabilities are some of the features that electric actuators possess.
